Do you need a birth time for your Moon sign?

Usually no. The Moon moves about 13° per day, so for most birth dates a Moon sign can be calculated from the date alone (with timezone). Edge cases near a Moon-sign change may still need a more precise time. Rising sign and houses, by contrast, almost always need an accurate birth time.
